Responsible for developing tools for performing vibration analysis, structural dynamics, and mechanical system design. Specifically, the job duties include:
Develop and execute installation and operation procedures for vibration control system products, including those for permanent magnetic, electrodynamic, and hydraulic shakers, slip tables, and head expanders.
Troubleshoot vibration test systems, which may involve hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic sub-systems such as vibration controllers, accelerometers, and amplifiers.
Develop and perform vibration (Sine, Random, SoR, RoR) and shock tests, and evaluate test results using MATLAB or similar numerical modeling tools.
Design and analyze shock and vibration test fixtures for a Device Under Test (DUT), and provide guidance on fixture fabrication with consideration of structural dynamics principles.
Perform vibration testing and modal analysis to identify and address vibration and noise concerns specific to customer applications.
Develop and evaluate alternative vibration testing methodologies to prevent excitation of resonant frequencies and enable new application possibilities.
Analyze preliminary engineering-design concepts of major products to maintain new and existing equipment, and perform routine planned and predictive maintenance.
Requirements
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, plus 1 year of experience in the job offered, as a mechanical engineering intern, or in a closely related role. Candidates must have skills in vibration analysis, modal analysis, structural dynamics, and numerical modeling tools such as MATLAB.

Responsible for supporting production, troubleshooting, calibration, repair, and shipment of electronic hardware for Crystal Instruments' vibration control and data acquisition systems. Specifically, the job duties include:
Assemble and solder electronic boards and hardware systems, including fine-pitch surface-mount (SMT) components and PCB rework.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronics at the board and system level using oscilloscopes and standard lab instrumentation.
Test, inspect, and calibrate systems prior to shipment to ensure quality and performance specifications.
Package and prepare units for customer shipment, including managing software license keys and pre-ship configuration.
Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) and production records.
Coordinate with vendors for parts, cables, and sub-assemblies, and track inventory, parts usage, and production status.
Contribute to continuous improvement of production processes and documentation.
Requirements
Associate's degree, technical certificate, or equivalent hands-on experience in electronics; a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field is acceptable but not required. Responsible for performing environmental and vibration testing services at Crystal Instruments' Huntington Beach testing facility. Specifically, the job duties include:
Conduct HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Test) and HASS (Highly Accelerated Stress Screen) testing for customer products.
Perform vibration tests on electrodynamic shaker systems across a range of profiles, including sine, random, and shock.
Develop Qualification Test Procedures (QTP) and Qualification Test Reports (QTR) to document testing services.
Coordinate equipment availability and testing schedules with the sales team to align customer expectations with lab capacity.

Collaborate with a distributed software development team to build new product features, fix bugs, and improve performance across the company's Windows .NET (C#) desktop application stack.
Develop custom software solutions for one-off customer-facing integration projects, including hardware interfaces and data export utilities.
Manage the source code repository and coordinate the software release process, including version tagging, branching, and merge reviews.
Perform quality assurance (QA) testing for each release, including two major releases per year and interim bug-fix patches.
