SAE Noise-Con 2017, Sponsored & Attended by Crystal Instruments

What does an automotive engineer, electric engineer, and an airline acoustics engineer have in common? They all had the amazing idea to attend the Crystal-Instruments-sponsored 2017 SAE Noise and Vibration Conference and Exhibition in Grand Rapids, Michigan in June 2017. This year’s four-day show had 122 exhibitors and nearly 1,600 attendees. These attendees ranged from established automotive engineers to small manufacturing start-up companies. Crystal Instruments attended and provided solutions for data acquisition, vibration control, and modal analysis.

The focus of the event was on engine/powertrain/drivetrain, heavy vehicle and vehicle exterior, numerical methods, NVH methods, and passive and active NVH control. Guests were given the opportunity to attend technical sessions where they could discover, collaborate, and engage with one another from around the globe. Additionally, attendees could chat with industry experts where they were able to pose questions, share experiences, and explore practical solutions to their problems. Finally, guests attended workshops where they honed their skills in topics such as structural vibration, ground and airborne acoustics and various other topics.
