Crystal Instruments Supports Advanced Satellite Vibration Testing at ANGKASA Malaysia

Crystal Instruments recently visited the Malaysian Space Agency (ANGKASA), where our high-channel-count dynamic measurement systems are supporting vibration testing applications for satellite programs. During the visit, our Europe Sales Manager, Jordi Gargallo, met with ANGKASA engineers together with our regional distributor, LOGICOM Instruments Pte Ltd, to review their current testing workflow and discuss future collaboration opportunities.

ANGKASA is utilizing a multi-channel Spider-based measurement system featuring Spider-80Hi front-end hardware together with the CoCo-80X dynamic signal analyzer platform for advanced vibration analysis and data acquisition. The deployment highlights the growing adoption of Crystal Instruments solutions in aerospace and defense testing environments, where precision, synchronization accuracy, and scalable architectures are essential.

Crystal Instruments’ high-channel-count systems are designed for demanding applications including vibration control, structural testing, modal analysis, and machine monitoring. The Spider-80X architecture supports scalable configurations ranging from small portable systems to synchronized systems with hundreds of channels, making it ideal for complex aerospace qualification testing. The system’s IEEE 1588v2 time synchronization technology ensures accurate phase matching and simultaneous sampling across all channels, enabling highly reliable dynamic measurements during satellite vibration testing.

At ANGKASA, the Spider-80Hi front-end modules are being used to capture and process vibration data from satellite testing setups. Combined with Crystal Instruments’ EDM software environment and CoCo-80X data analysis tools, engineers can perform real-time signal analysis, high-speed recording, FFT processing, and post-test evaluation within a unified platform.

The visit also provided an opportunity to strengthen collaboration with LOGICOM Instruments Pte Ltd, Crystal Instruments’ trusted distributor in Southeast Asia. Together, Crystal Instruments and LOGICOM continue to support advanced aerospace, automotive, electronics, and research organizations across the region with high-performance vibration testing and dynamic signal analysis solutions.
